head pounding
walk down a flight of stairs
look in the merrior
white as a ghost
november knows to stay away
swetting in my boxers
i get ready to work
check the temp for the hell of it
23 degrees out side
me im 102
i go to work

phil "you ok"
squid "blank stare"
Bill "you look like shit, whats wrong?"
squid "you want the truth or to feel ok inside"
Bill "truth sounds more interesting"
Squid "My back is thrown out, it hurts to sit and stand, i have a fever of of 102, i cant breath, my head is pounding and i feel like i got hit by my truck just diving in to work."

phil "most people call in sick at this point"
squid "i can still think, i can still move, i can still run, im going to work."
phil "allright, whats the square rout of 9.5?"
Bill "what??"
squid "around pie"
Bill "what??"
phil "he's right... ok then lets leave you alone"
Bill "what???"
Squid "im going to take a nap in this chair for 15"

So i ask you
when you roll out of the sheets
and your nose is dripping brain fluid
you body akes
you can move but it hurts just to think of it
you can get out of bed
but you dont
you call in and make some one else do your work
is it fair
or are you crying wolf
and going to take it easy

i didnt stop for pnemonia
double eat infections
and fluid in my lungs
i still marched in a kilt
cuz they needed a bass drummer
